Tiffany sincerely believes you can use templates to create more personalized, intuitive, eye-catching scrapbook layouts. You just have to know how. This guided workshop will teach you how to analyze the strengths of various digital templates, deconstruct them, and readapt the design to fit your creative style.
But don’t expect all template talk. Sprinkled between template topics are summer inspired photography and typography tips along with 25 days of motivating page ideas. Tiffany will also show you how to design digital scrapbook templates from a sketch and pre-existing layout. By the end, you will have crafted beautiful, template-based layouts that document your favorite summer memories and showcase your definitive, scrapbooking style. Simply put, you’ll fall in love with templates all over again.
How much do you need to know in advance?
This course is suitable for the beginner and intermediate digital crafter using Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, 7 or 8 and Photoshop CS3 or CS4 on the Mac or PC. While we will begin with primers in the use of digital scrapbooking templates, familiarity with the concepts of layers and digital basics is recommended.

This four-week class will be taught using Photoshop CS4 and Elements 8.0. If you are using earlier versions of the program, tips will be given to help you throughout the class.
Although many of the basics of Photoshop and Photoshop Elements will be covered, we recommend that you have a basic working knowledge of one of these programs. You need to be able to open, close, and save a document as well as a basic understanding of the tools.

We will play with a unique mix of layered templates ranging in styles from clean and graphic to artistic and unpredictable. You’ll learn how to substitute parts to create new designs. And of course, Tiffany will share her best-kept embellishment secrets for working with any type of template design.
