Prerequisites
This class is perfect for advanced beginners, intermediate scrapbookers experienced in digital scrapbooking or alumni of The Photoshop Brushshop 1.

Q. I recently purchased Adobe Photoshop CS5. But CS4 and earlier versions are recommended. Will I be able to take this class?
A. Yes, you can take this class; however, Adobe redeveloped the brush tool in the latest version of Photoshop. The techniques for CS4 and earlier versions may not necessarily apply to the CS5 Brush tool. So, CS5 is not recommended. This class will be redeveloped to include CS5 for 2011.

A. Pen tablets do significantly help brushwork results, but a tablet is not a requirement to complete the lessons.

Q. I’m very familiar with brushes but did not take the first Brushshop class. Is this a good fit for me?
A. You’ll be fine if you are comfortable with brush basics like the Brush tool options bar, resizing of brush tips, loading and saving brush sets, and the brush panel.

A. It depends on what you use the most. Choose the software and section you'll use more in the future. Keep in mind, there are more techniques offered in the Photoshop section because more options are available for the Brush tool.

This three-week class was recorded using Photoshop CS4 and Photoshop Elements 8.0. Tips will be provided to help you throughout class if you’re using earlier versions of the programs. A basic understanding of the programs plus an advanced beginner’s understanding of the Brush tool is imperative.
