Type is creative. Type communicates. Type represents you on your scrapbook page. Isn't it time you mastered type? Tiffany Tillman's Text FX takes you on a learning adventure through basic typographic theory to eye-popping title text effects using eight learning objectives and ten title-work projects.
At the end of 4 weeks, you'll understand designer nuances of typeface choices, font pairings, and textart creation. Finally, you will walk away confidently knowing how to apply your personal typographic style to anything you create.
Prerequisites
Suitable for users of Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, 7, 8 and 9 or Photoshop CS3, CS4, and CS5, this course is designed for the beginner digital crafter using either Mac or PC. A basic proficiency in any of these programs and understanding of layers is essential.

Class Presentation
Class content is presented daily via video recordings, which you can access and watch at your leisure once class begins. Students also receive PDF reference summaries, private weekly chats featuring live Photoshop and Photoshop Elements demonstrations, as well as links to 100's of free fonts.

This four-week class was recorded using Photoshop CS4 and Elements 8.0. Tips will be provided to help you throughout class if you’re using other versions of the programs. A basic understanding of the programs is imperative.

Our classes are comprised of a series of instructor led sessions. Lesson videos, exercises and downloadable content are posted weekly or daily, depending on the class.
There is no class meeting time, so you're free to view the videos at your own pace. Class discussion takes place via a private forum with a gallery for sharing your work with the instructor and other students. The class forum is moderated by the instructor. Support is provided via weekly live Q&A video chats, email and the forum.
