Adding your Images

Clicking an upload link or button will take you to the media upload page. This is a two step process.
  • The first step is to select an album to upload the images into. Once the album has been set, you can upload images right away when the upload form reveals itself.

  • When you have uploaded the images you wish to add to the album, you click the 'Review & Publish' button which will allow you to rotate the image or edit the image's details.

Thanks for this info. Can you please provide a few more details? What size (inches or pixles) would you recommend saving the files as? What file size? How do we upload 2 page spreads?
Thanks and Happy New Year!

Hi Cole!

Your images should be saved at 900x900 pixels for upload to the gallery. You can use the “Save for Web” function in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements to do this. Just specify the size in pixels and you’ll be good to go.

The gallery can only show images that you have saved. Think of it like Photoshop. If you are doing two 12x12 page layouts as a double-spread, you would do them separately in Photoshop, then add them to your album as individual side-by-side pages. The same is true for the gallery. It can only show single images.

Let me know if that’s clear as mud. :D

Thank you! I was saving them as 600x600, so it's nice to know I can go a bit higher. Also thanks for responding during your "vacation". I hope you are enjoying some downtime. I'm looking forward to seeing what new classes will be offered in the New Year.

I'm sorry, alinor, but the Gallery software doesn't support uploads from mobile devices.

Ack! I love my iPhone but I really, really don't like iPhoto. I wanted to upload from iPhoto to my class gallery but can't figure out how.

Also, a separate question, is there any way to delete images from "Photos" (on the iPhone); I know I can in Camera Roll but I would really like to delete whole folders under "Albums" and don't know how.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thank you!
Julia

Do you mean iPhoto on the iPhone? The gallery software we use does not support uploads from mobile devices...yet (I hope).

To delete an album:

When viewing albums, tap Edit.
Then, tap the minus sign.

We are having issues with the gallery and it is currently offline. When the problems are resolved you should be able to upload. Sorry for the inconvenience.

No bother! That's what I'm here for. :)

I logged in as you and had no problem seeing the upload button. I'm attaching two screenshots. The first shows the main gallery page with the upload button. The second shows what the upload screen looks like after you click the Upload button.

Let me know if you have any questions or problems.

Thanks!

Hello,
I try to upload my layouts in the Heart of the Holidays Gallery, but it says : "You have used 0bytes of 0bytes (max per upload: 0bytes)"
so I can't do anything.
Should I do anything first in order to activate the upload ?
Thanks!
