Product Review: Repper Patterns

I’m always on the lookout for better design tools. Even though I rely on Photoshop or Illustrator most of the time, sometimes all I need is a quick patterned background to set the stage for a page layout.
I could do this in Photoshop, of course. But pattern-making in Photoshop is a laborious task that I tend to avoid. Enter Repper.
What’s Repper?
Repper is a pattern creator that turns your images into patterned designs. It’s a desktop app available for Windows, Mac and Linux.
Repper falls into the “new to me” category. I don’t know how long the tool’s been around, but I found it today and immediately began to play with the free demo. I quickly realized the possibilities were endless. Here’s a quick video using one of my own designs.

Thanks for introducing me to this great, also ‘new-to-me’ tool! Patterns are always a pain…but no more!!
Wow! What a clever little app. I love that you can get patterns from any image. I think it’ll be great resource for adding more value from existing designs! Recycling patterns! Thanks for sharing.

LOVE it!! thanks for the tip!!
I’ve just tried and it’s awesome!
Thank you Renee for this link! I knew that years ago Terazzo (or something like that) had a sort of tilemaker. But was not expensive and not so many options as this program.
Gonna download the demo and start playing. There goes the to-do list for today…
You should have an affiliate link, because you just made a sale! This program looks awesome…
