Everyday Storyteller Blog Hop Stop 19

Because my camera of choice is my ever-ready iPhone, I’ve developed a simple workflow to keep track of daily photos and memories. This preparation significantly speeds up my Project Life page creation. Here’s how the first part works:

TIP!
On your iPhone or iPad, setup an album called “Everyday Photos” and at the end of each day, add the best of that day’s photos from the Camera Roll or Photo Stream to your everyday album. If you’re a prolific shooter, set up an individual album for each month.

To add a new album, go to the Photos app. Tap Edit in the top right corner just above the Camera Roll. Tap Add in the top left corner. Name your new album and click Save. Done!

The rest of my Project Life prep steps are included in the new e-book,  “Everyday Storyteller: 33 Practical Ideas from Real World Scrapbookers,” available this Friday!

In “Everyday Storyteller,” I’ll show you how to record your stories…every day…using either your iPhone or iPad! Collect each day’s photos, journaling, the date, a location map and even a thumbnail of the kits I plan to use. It’s all in “Everyday Storyteller,” available this Friday, May 4th!

Party Over There! I’m personally inviting you and a friend to be my guests at the Everyday Storyteller Launch Party this Friday, May 4, at 8:30pm CDT. All you need to do is register at the Everyday Storyteller site to make sure your name is added to the VIP list. There’ll be over $700 in prizes given away!

Giveaway Over Here! And speaking of giveaways, I have a copy of the book to giveaway to one lucky blog reader. To enter, leave a comment below before 11:59pm CDT tonight answering the question: What’s your favorite part of the memory keeping process? The giveaway has ended.

See you at the party Friday night and thanks for stopping by! Visit Lynnette Penacho at Nettio Designs next for another memory-keeping tip!

  44. My favorite part is taking the pictures and learning to become a better photographer.

  45. I have 2 favorite parts — the first is the creation and I really just lose myself. It doesn’t matter to me if it is good, or even if it is ever finished. Like, if it is digi, I may spend hours and then just hit delete. It is the creating and experimenting I love. The getting lost.
The second fav is looking back a year or more later and remembering. Sometimes I am remembering the event, sometimes I am remembering the creating! Like in the case of my “first month” of this hobby I thought I was a rock star and just couldn’t understand why I didn’t win an LSS contest I entered! It was by far the best. That layout is my fav for the memory of the contest.… cuz the layout is hideous!! But at the time, I showed it off proudly! LMAO!!

  51. My favorite part is actually after putting it all together and sharing it with others and reliving the memories with them.

  52. My favorite parts are the creating and then the sharing. Thank you so much for the opportunity to win this book from all these amazing contributors!

  53. My favorite part is finishing a layout and seeing my daughter’s reaction to it. Makes the effort worth it!

  54. My favorite part is remembering my mom & dad and passing those memories on to my kids who don’t remember their grandparents.

  55. Thanks so much for this tip, definitely need help in my photo flow! Thanks for the giveaway!

  57. My favorite part is showing my books to my daughter. She loves it and it just reinforces why it’s the best hobby there is!

  58. My favourite part is actually sharing to my blog. I always blog my photos and stories first then that story is “saved” and I go back sometimes up to a year later to make the scrapbook page and my journaling is already done for me! I just love sharing my stories with friends and family.

  69. wow, that is a tough question, Renee, I love it all. But I will have to say my favorite part is seeing the photos on the page, all edited and in their spots and then embellishing around them. I looooove those finishing touches that make a page shine!
