September 11, 2001: A day we’ll never forget
September 11, 2012 Author: Categories: News

On a brilliant, sunny Tuesday morning, Sept. 11, 2001, the worst terror attack on the U.S. mainland in modern history took place. Two hijacked planes slammed into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York, a third crashed into the Pentagon and a fourth crashed in Pennsylvania.
It forever changed us as a nation. We salute the valiant first responders and morn the innocent victims of that cowardly attack.
Please take a moment and share your memory of that historic moment with us.

It’s hard to believe that it has been 11 years. I remember that morning as if it was yesterday. As we huddled around a TV in the conference room at work, the looks on the faces of my co-workers were a mix of shock and disbelief. Anger set in later.
I was a junior in high school at the time and found out when I walked into my U.S. History class. This day has forever left an impact on my heart and has made me realize how quickly our lives can change in an instant.
