Here’s a technique I learned at Photoshop World a few years ago but it’s still one of my favorites. It was part of a workshop taught by Scott Kelby…the grand poobah of all things Photoshop.

Q. I have an image I want to use on my blog. At 800 x 600 pixels, it’s too wide for the space I have. I know that I want the width to be 600 pixels, how can I calculate the new height while maintaining the proportions of the image?
This is a process I use almost daily. I resize a lot of images for the site and this blog. Fortunately, there’s a simple formula you can use. (more…)
